A Letter from the Founder

I began with an idea: a memory of Italy, a dream. Not Italy as spectacle or cliché, but as atmosphere — warm stone, linen, golden light; a room open to the sea; a church offering refuge from the late-day heat.

Two names, two families, my inheritance. Ferruccio, Calabrian; Simonello, Sicilian. Two regions, two shores, separated by the mythical Strait of Messina. Sicily is my muse. Calabria, my strength. Australia, my perspective.

This House is my interpretation of that inheritance — built, like that room facing the shore or that church offering cool refuge, on restraint, warmth and craftsmanship. Italian in spirit, Australian in outlook, contemporary in expression.

As scent is memory's swiftest messenger — bypassing logic to strike directly at pure feeling — we begin with fragrance. A study in luminous amber: sun-warmed stone, Italian linen. The night and its promises. The light of the morning after. Through fragrance, we capture the very air of those memories.

Conceived in Sicily. Curated in Italy. Yours in Australia.
